Connections offers mature dance students a glimpse into the professional dance world by engaging them with the work of world famous and cutting edge dance companies, as well as emerging choreographers. The two aspects of the program - workshops and residencies - allow artists and companies to share their unique aesthetic with students. The program offers students the benefits of interacting with dance professionals - learning diverse techniques, fresh approaches to choreography and collaboration, and broadening students’ perspective of the dance world. Recent participating companies include: Keigwin + Company, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, RIOULT, and Doug Varone and Dancers.
Program
Connections offers multiple levels of involvement. Dancers can join one of City Center’s specially tailored 2 hour workshops with Doug Varone and Dancers and Shen Wei Dance Arts or teachers can design their own master class or residency with the company of their choice.

Connections Workshop Series includes Doug Varone and Dancers and Shen Wei Dance Arts. Additional companies available for custom workshops and residencies include but are not limited to Ballet Hispanico, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Gallim Dance, Elisa Monte Dance, Keigwin + Company, RIOULT, and Zvi Dance.
