FALL FOR DANCE FESTIVAL - Sept. 19
Louise Lecavalier
Lone Epic (excerpt) U.S. Premiere
Choreography by Crystal Pite
ABOUT THIS PIECE

Lone Epic (excerpt) A solo set to selections from Bernard Herrmann’s score for Citizen Kane, Lone Epic explores the possibility of human emotion within a facade of presentation, while recognizing that the emotions of love and loss, intensely personal, are of epic importance.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“Louise Lecavalier is one of the most renowned dancers to ever come out of contemporary dance, a legend. And that is how Crystal Pite staged Lecavalier, in Lone Epic. Witty and charming, a solo for a senior dancer. ” – Berliner Zeitung

“The new Louise Lecavalier is all flesh and tempered steel. Magical.” – Le Figaro

“Her flamboyant figure dominates, literally devouring the stage.” – Le Devoir
