FALL FOR DANCE FESTIVAL - Sept. 30 - Oct. 1
Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company
Duet
Choreography by Bill T. Jones
ABOUT THIS PIECE
In a departure from his theatrical, multi-media works, Bill T. Jones’ Duet (1995) explores pure movement and abstraction. This important work from the company repertory draws on the tension between and the elegance inherent in two people moving together in perfect unison.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“Bill T. Jones has made his mark with dances that rankle and push, ask questions, and often get to the very heart of who we are as human beings.”
– Karen Campbell, The Boston Globe

“Jones’ dancers continue to rank among the finest anywhere. While no two are remotely alike – with sizes and shapes ranging from all over the board – they all share a velvety propulsion, razor-sharp technique and a stage presence that’s close to majesty.”
– Sarah Kaufman, The Washington Post

“The supremely distinguished choreography of Bill T. Jones leaves you with indelible, graceful images of young people scarcely bound by gravity...”
– Paul Levy, Wall Street Journal, on Bill T. Jones’ Tony Award–winning choreography for Spring Awakening
