The Historic Studios at New York City Center are ideal spaces for dance, music and theater. Our unique studios have served the professional Theater and Dance Community for years. Located at 130 West 56th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, the City Center Studios are appropriate for rehearsals, classes, auditions (rental of 2 rooms required for open calls), studio showings and workshops. Open seven days a week, 9am-11pm.

Subsidized Rehearsal**
With generous support from the New York State Council on the Arts and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, New York City Center makes space available for non-profit dance rehearsals at a reduced rate.

Subsidized Rehearsal Studio Rules
New York City Center Studios are available at the subsidized rate Monday through Sunday.
Studio time is booked in 2-hour blocks.
Subsidized hours can be booked up to 1 month in advance, subject to availability. |

Studio Rules
Street shoes are not permitted in the studios when they are being used for rehearsals, auditions, performances or classes. For dance classes appropriate footwear MUST be used.
Eating not permitted. ONLY bottled water with a screw top allowed.
No rosin
No live percussion, No loud amplified sound.
No receptions.
No storage at any time.
Sets and props that do not fit in the elevator are not permitted in the studios.
