  • Overview

Before My Fair Lady and Camelot there was Brigadoon, Lerner & Loewe’s transcendent romantic fantasy about the past, the present, and what it means to (almost) be in love. The classic 1947 musical follows Tommy Albright (Patrick Wilson), a jaded New Yorker who stumbles into an idyllic Scottish town that only appears for one day every century. Tommy quickly becomes smitten with the headstrong Fiona MacLaren (Kelli O’Hara) and makes an enemy of the rebellious Harry Beaton (Robert Fairchild), bringing about a chain of events that could spell doom for the entire town. City Center is delighted to bring Brigadoon out of the Highland mists for its 70th anniversary, in a concert production directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon.

The November 15 performance of Brigadoon will be City Center’s annual Gala, honoring City Center Board co-chair and Broadway producer Stacey Mindich. The Gala performance will be followed by dinner at The Plaza. For tables and ticket details, patrons should call 212.763.1205 or see the “Nov 15 Gala” tab above.

Funds raised at all seven performances of Brigadoon will allow City Center to make the performing arts accessible to the widest possible audience by subsidizing affordable tickets throughout the year.
