This event will take place on Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and will include performances by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Celebrate the anniversary of Fancy Free, Jerome Robbins and Leonard Bernstein’s iconic 1944 collaboration that laid the groundwork for the Broadway musical On the Town and launched Robbins’s now legendary choreographic career. Dancers from New York City Ballet perform excerpts from the piece and Robert LaFosse and Alastair Macaulay discuss the lasting legacy of Fancy Free 80 years later.
