“You can’t help rooting for the dancers as they sprint and dip into ever trickier combinations.”

¡Adelante, Cuba! Festival is a celebration of the rich and vibrant artists of Cuba featuring dance, music, talks, master classes, and a special Festival Kickoff at The Greene Space.

International ballet superstar Carlos Acosta—who has graced all the major stages with The Royal Ballet of London, American Ballet Theatre, and Houston Ballet—returned to his hometown of Havana and assembled the finest performers from the worlds of contemporary dance and classical ballet to form his own company, Acosta Danza.

Read about Carlos Acosta and how his company of exceptional dancers are showcasing their Cuban roots in this feature from The New York Times. Listen to WNYC dance critic Marina Harss discuss the must-see performances at New York City Center, highlighted by a guest appearance by Acosta himself.
