Studio 5 at City Center

Utilizing in-studio performances and an interactive format, Studio 5 at City Center takes the audience beyond the proscenium and deep into the worlds of dance and musical theater.

Founded in 2009 under the stewardship of renowned dancer-turned-director Damian Woetzel, Studio 5 features performances and frank, funny conversations about dance with luminaries of the field such as Edward Villella, Wendy Whelan, Matthew Rushing, and Christopher Wheeldon. Since 2010, Studio 5 has also explored the glorious, hectic process of creating Broadway musicals; guests have included Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof), James Lapine (Into the Woods), Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home), and Alex Timbers (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson).
