  • Overview

The genius of Where the Wild Things Are meets the genius of Tapestry in this sweet, sad, wonderful musical by Maurice Sendak and Carole King about a little girl in Brooklyn with a big imagination. Can her dreams come true, or does growing up mean letting go? Inspired in part by the stories in Sendak’s Nutshell Library, Really Rosie’s irresistible songs include “Pierre,” “Alligators All Around,” and "Chicken Soup with Rice.”

There will be free family-friendly activities taking place throughout City Center one hour before every performance of Really Rosie! Activities include a fun photo booth where you can make a GIF of yourself, coloring, a scavenger hunt, and more. (Please note that activities may vary.)

    Approximate running time: 70 minutes.

    Really Rosie
is part of the 2017 Encores! Off-Center season, which also includes The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin.
