The company that revolutionized dance celebrates its 90th anniversary season with adventurous new works in stunning interaction with Martha Graham classics. Rediscover Graham's genius for capturing the human spirit in her exuberant masterpiece Appalachian Spring (1944), her searing anti-war statement Chronicle (1936), and her chilling evocations of the Medea and Oedipus tragedies, Cave of the Heart (1946) and Night Journey (1947). All four evenings will feature live music performed by the Mannes Orchestra. Don't miss three premieres from contemporary choreographers Marie Chouinard, Mats Ek, and Pontus Lidberg! Aurélie Dupont, Étoile and new director of the Paris Opera Ballet, will star in the April 18 Gala.
