A half-human, half-bat teenager searches for acceptance in a small town when he is discovered in a cave in this cult classic horror-comedy musical directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers (Beetlejuice, Moulin Rouge!). Bat Boy: The Musical is a “fervid, wicked, and arch” (The New York Times), yet heartfelt story about the universal need for belonging and love.

What happens when death doesn’t do you part? A novelist is about to find out when the eccentric Madame Arcati summons the ghost of his ex-wife in this hilarious, brassy, eight-time Tony-nominated musical adaptation of Noël Coward’s well-loved play, Blithe Spirit. Directed by Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo), this madcap musical will feature a truly beloved score rarely heard since its 1964 Broadway run.

The Wild Party

Mar 18 – 29, 2026  

Queenie is throwing a party—and you’re invited! Michael John LaChiusa (The Gardens of Anuncia) and Tony winner George C. Wolfe (Jelly’s Last Jam) bring Joseph Moncure March’s notorious poem to life in their "dangerous, seedy, fantastic” (The Observer) musical adaptation. Directed by Lili-Anne Brown, the show was nominated for seven Tonys in its original run, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.

La Cage Aux Folles

This Tony-winning musical comedy from Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman tells a story of love, family, and acceptance—and, of course, the greatest drag show on the French Riviera, starring Emmy, Grammy, and Tony winner Billy Porter (Pose, Encores! Jelly’s Last Jam) as the fabulous Albin, and featuring an all-Black cast directed by Robert O’Hara (A Raisin in the Sun, Encores! Jelly’s Last Jam).

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

New York City Center’s Principal Dance Company since 1971 returns for another joyous five-week engagement. This season raises the curtain on Ailey’s next era under the leadership of new Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack. Audiences will be treated to classic works from the Ailey repertory—including the touchstone of inspiration, Revelations—and new works by contemporary choreographers.

This exhilarating double bill co-presented by Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels brings together works from either side of the century divide: Merce Cunningham’s 1999 masterpiece BIPED, which incorporates cutting-edge technology into the dance; and Mycelium, which represents the US debut of rising choreographic star and Rose International Dance Prize winner Christos Papadopoulos.

25th Flamenco Festival

The Flamenco Festival celebrates its 25th year at City Center with an incredible two-week lineup of flamenco legends and rising stars direct from Spain. This year’s milestone Festival features Sara Baras, Estévez / Paños y Compañía, and more.

Martha Graham Dance Company

Apr 8 – 12, 2026

The oldest working dance company in the US celebrates its 100th year with five unmissable performances, featuring Martha Graham masterworks along with new works from Jamar Roberts and Baye & Asa. An extraordinary centennial creation will round out the programs, and the classic Graham scores will once again be brought to life by the Mannes Orchestra.

Experience another exciting season, including the return of Dance Theatre of Harlem classic, Firebird, where a Russian folk tale about the triumph of love over evil is reimagined in a luscious Caribbean setting designed by Geoffrey Holder, as well as recent works by Artistic Director Robert Garland

APr 23 – 26, 2026

MUJERES: Women in Motion is the company’s second season dedicated entirely to female choreographers. This program elevates women’s voices through choreography, featuring electrifying works from Cassi Abranches, Marianela Boán, and more. Plus the joyful, interactive En Familia matinee returns, where every seat in the house is $25.

Étoile Hugo Marchand, “the starriest of the Paris Opera Ballet’s stars” (The New York Times) headlines City Center’s Artists at the Center. Marchand will dazzle in Maurice Béjart’s triumphant Boléro alongside 18 dancers from the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, a pas de deux from Angelin Preljocaj’s sensuous Le Parc with fellow Étoile Dorothée Gilbert, and more.
