In her 22nd year as a dancer with New York City Ballet, Sara Mearns continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be one of the most accomplished dancers of her generation. Hosted by Damian Woetzel, in conversation with choreographer Alexei Ratmansky,  this retrospective offers insights into some of the pieces that built Mearns’s career. Performances will include excerpts from Ratmansky’s ballets: Odesa, Pictures at an Exhibition, and Solitude. Earlier this month, Mearns was featured as this season's Artist at the Center.

Dancer-choreographer Cameron sinkʷə Fraser-Monroe explains how his Indigenous identity plays a role in his artistic practice as part of a discussion moderated by Brandi Norton, Curator for Public Programs at the Bard College Center for Indigenous Studies. This event will take place on Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and will include performances by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Celebrate the anniversary of Fancy Free, Jerome Robbins and Leonard Bernstein’s iconic 1944 collaboration that laid the groundwork for the Broadway musical On the Town and launched Robbins’s now legendary choreographic career. Dancers from New York City Ballet perform excerpts from the piece and Robert La Fosse and Alastair Macaulay discuss the lasting legacy of Fancy Free 80 years later.

George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® has delighted audiences with its complex theatricality and intricate choreography since it premiered at New York City Center in 1954. Join moderator Jonathan Stafford and panelists Jean-Pierre Frohlich and Robert La Fosse as they discuss the roles of Little Prince, Candy Cane, and Drosselmayer, featuring dancers of New York City Ballet performing excerpts from the work.

Co-hosted by Bessie Award-winning dancer, choreographer, and beloved b-girl Ephrat Asherie and multi-hyphenate artist and Bessie Award winner Adesola Osakalumi, this event will feature conversation and performance with a panel of prolific street and club dance artists creating work for a multitude of spaces including theater, film, television, and concert dance.
