Overview

Overview

Expanding on our mission to make the best in the performing arts accessible to all, City Center On the Move is designed to bring the extraordinary artists from our stages directly to New Yorkers in their neighborhoods.

As we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our audiences, artists, and staff, it’s with a heavy heart that we have cancelled all of our programming through summer 2020 in support of the CDC and Governor Cuomo’s restrictions to contain the spread of COVID-19. We look forward to announcing an exciting 2020-2021 season later this spring and our plans for On the Move shortly thereafter.

While our theater is temporarily closed, you are invited to enjoy our video series—the Encores! Archives Project, by following us on social media @NYCityCenter on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube.

If you’re a parent or teacher looking for at-home activities to enrich and inspire your students and family, please visit our enhanced Education Resources page for dance and musical theater study guides and video clips that support K-12 learners and promote critical thinking and engagement. We look forward to seeing you back at City Center.
Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.
