Starring several of Russia’s most acclaimed actors—including Sergey Makovetskiy, Liudmila Maksakova, and Vladimir Simonov—this extraordinary revival features director Rimas Tuminas’ trademark "tableaus of striking beauty and grace” (The New York Times) while remaining faithful to the longstanding Stanislavski theatrical tradition.
