Alexei Ratmansky, ABT’s Artist in Residence, reconstructs Harlequinade in honor of Marius Petipa’s 200th birthday. This Studio 5 event will feature Mr. Ratmansky and dancers from ABT with selections from the new ballet. Mr. Ratmansky and ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie will discuss the new production, which will premiere during the company’s 2018 Met season.

ABT performers for the event include Jeffrey Cirio as Harlequin, Cassandra Trenary as Columbine, Hee Seo as Pierrette, and Thomas Forster as Pierrot. Pianist Jacek Mysinski will accompany the dancers.

The Studio 5 at City Center series—featuring a first-time partnership with American Ballet Theatre—takes audiences beyond the proscenium for intimate conversations and live performance excerpts from the great dance artists of today.
