All tickets $30
In Kelli O’Hara’s master class, I Hope I Get It: Inside the Audition Process, artists work on how to communicate a story through song, how to present themselves in the room, and gain insight into common mistakes and pitfalls. Participating artists receive personalized feedback and guidance on their work with an eye toward booking their next audition. Audience members get a look inside the audition process as participants perform a selection from their repertoire.
Front and Center: Learning from the Masters, an exclusive City Center series, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a musical theater professional. Now in its second season, audiences have a chance to watch Tony Award-winning theater veterans—actor Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!; She Loves Me), director/choreographer Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes; The Pajama Game), and actress Kelli O’Hara (The King and I; The Bridges of Madison County)—as they coach emerging artists on skills that are vital on and off the stage.
Artists will be chosen through an online audition process beginning September 18.
