Take 5 invites families, community organizations, and school groups to experience the best in dance and musical theater at City Center! Spend an afternoon or evening enjoying an affordable, world-class performance for just $5 per ticket.

Who is Take 5 for?

• Families, school groups, and community groups are eligible to purchase Take 5 tickets.
• Eligible families must have children under age 18 to qualify. A child over 18 is not eligible for Take 5 Tickets and is encouraged to register for the Access City Center Club. 
• Our programming is most suitable for middle and high school students and is not recommended for children younger than 5.
• Every Take 5 purchase must include at least one student ticket.
• Please note that the Take 5 box office closes 48 hours prior to the ticketed performance.

How to Purchase Tickets - Families

• Families interested in signing up for Take 5 Tickets should complete the form below.  
  • When signing up, you must include the number of student and adult tickets you wish to purchase, and the child/children’s school name.
  • Please note that due to program popularity, families are only able to purchase a maximum of two adult tickets and three student tickets per production.
• After your tickets have been purchased, they will be available for pick-up at the box office on the day of the performance only.
• Valid ID must be presented to pick up tickets.

How to Purchase Tickets – Schools & Community Groups

• Schools and Community Groups interested in Take 5 Tickets should email City Center’s Education Department at Take5@nycitycenter.org for instructions to purchase tickets online.
  • When emailing, please include the number of student and adult tickets, and the name of the organization that would like to purchase the tickets.
  • Schools and Community Groups may request more than five tickets; however, purchases are subject to availability.
• After your tickets have been purchased, they will be available for pick-up at the box office on the day of the performance only.
• Valid ID must be presented to pick up tickets.

Take 5 Season Offerings

This season, we are thrilled to offer Take 5 Tickets to the following performances: Working, Promenade, Road Show, Fall for Dance Festival, Houston Ballet, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, Nederlands Dans Theater, Mack and Mabel, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Additional performances may be added throughout the year.
